After the online retail giant, Amazon, purchased Souq.com, and then re-branded to Amazon.ae, it was only a matter of time until UAE customers started seeing some of the added benefits that US-based customers have been enjoying for many years – namely Amazon Prime.
What is Amazon Prime?
If you’re unfamiliar of what this concept it, it’s essentially a subscription-based membership scheme whereby you get a few perks and, to some extent, some extra discounts. However, what Amazon.ae offers is not just related to products being sold domestically, but there are also greatly reduced shipping charges for items purchased from Amazon.com through Amazon.ae.
With Amazon Prime you can enjoy the following benefits:

- Free international delivery on millions of eligible items and orders over AED 100 from Amazon US when you shop from Amazon.ae

What’s the catch?
Sounds pretty sweet, huh? So what will this monthly membership set you back? Well, for the first 30 days, nothing. Provided that you have a fully working credit card, Amazon.ae will just charge your card for a total of Dhs.1 in order to confirm that the card is working, but that will be immediately refunded again and then your 30-day free trial will start.
Once the free-trial comes to an end you will be charged Dhs.12 per month until October 31 2019, after which the monthly charge will be Dhs.16.
