AirPods 3 Might Be Coming As Soon As The End Of 2019

After three years, Apple has finally released a new generation of its signature AirPods wireless earphones by the end of March 2019. Now, only a month later, there are rumors that the company is planning on releasing the next AirPods 3, as well as a potential 4th version as soon as the end of this year.

The first report that mentions the AirPods 3 comes from Digitimes that states that the new headphones by Apple will be released before the year ends. Moreover, they are expected to have a noise-canceling feature added which, despite being a very common feature overall, is not that common in truly wireless in-ear headphones due to larger battery consumption.

The second report comes from Ming-Chi Kuo who is an analyst at TF International Securities. He stated that the next generation of AirPods might be coming in the last quarter of 2019 or first quarter of 2020. He also mentions the second model that will be released alongside it. Both models are expected to have a new internal design which will allow Apple to save some space and even add new features. Unfortunately, there are still no predictions what the outer design is going to be like.

Talking about the price, new internal design makes the same design more cost efficient which in a way predicts that at least one of the two new models might be an improved version of the AirPods 2 with the same price, design and charging case. Nevertheless, there are expectations that the other model will be pricier and with a completely different design than what Apple fans got used to with the first two generations. So far, Apple hasn’t made any official announcements leaving us with only one thing to do: wait.
