Bang & Olufsen announced Beoplay E8 Sport earbuds

Two noticeable trends occurred in the headphone industry in the past few years. Following the shift of focus on truly wireless earbuds, often inspired by Apple AirPods, we could see that companies started putting the health and fitness of its users in mind when creating new products. Bang and Olufsen never made that last step with a sports-focused pair of earbuds, until now. The new Beoplay E8 Sport is a new version of the well-loved E8 earbuds, and here is what the upgrade brings.

The new E8 Sport takes quite a lot from their original predecessor, which is why we expect the sound quality and performance of the new buds to be as good as ever. They are charged using a USB-C port and you get 7 hours of playback time from one charge with an additional 21 hours thanks to the charging case. They rely on Bluetooth 5.1 and are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The controls are quite simple with the tap and swipe principle on the earbuds which allows you to control the calls and overall music playback, as well as turn on the Transparency Mode.

Besides this, the buds are adjusted for use in sports so they also have some features that improve their performance in such conditions. This includes a nice variety of ear tips and sizes that allow you to choose the one that suits your ear the best, making them more comfortable and secure in your ear. Furthermore, E8 Sport buds have IP57 waterproof rating making them safe under most conditions for around 30 minutes.

When it comes to the release date, Beoplay E8 Sport earbuds are going to be available at some point at the very beginning of July for $350. You will get to choose between two color options: a classic Black, as well as a minty Oxygen Blue.
