Beoplay EQ are B&O’s first truly wireless buds with ANC

Band & Olufsen finally announced its first-ever pair of ANC truly wireless earbuds. The new Beoplay EQ are designed to be used in any scenario, from traveling and business meetings to lounging on the beach. Here is everything you need to know about them!

B&O’s new buds pack six microphones in total on both buds, four for active noise canceling feature, and two for phone calls, as well as a 6.8mm electro-dynamic driver. The buds also support the AptX standard, as well as AAC and SBC codecs. Moreover, the buds have an IP54 dust and water resistance rating while the ergonomic design and interchangeable ear tips make them comfortable throughout the day.

With enabled ANC, Beoplay EQ buds offer over 6 hours of battery life at a single charge, while the matching charging case offers two additional charges on the go. Luckily there is also the fast charging function that adds up to 2 hours of playback time with only 20 minutes of charging. You can recharge the case using a USB-C compatible charger, or using a Qi wireless charging mat.

Beoplay EQ earbuds are not available yet, but they will be officially launched on the 19th of August when you will be able to grab a pair in either of the two color options: Black Anthracite or Sand. However, they are a high-end pair of buds which is what explains the above-average market price of $399.
