Check Out DUNU’s Upcoming Falcon-C IEM

Dunu have been around for a while now, and their product portfolio is rather impressive. They’ve given the personal audio some really great sounding and affordably-priced options. The Titan-series was so popular and well-received that Fiio even teamed up with them to produce Fiio-re-branded versions of the originals. The DK-3001 too is a fantastically coherent hybrid IEM, capable of delivering truly great sound. The DN2000 was/is also an exceptionally popular IEM.
Dunu’s latest IEM is named the Falcon-C.

The Falcon-C has landed

Dunu have taken things somewhat “back to basics” here, as there is no intricate BA hybrid setups involving complicated crossover networks. Instead Dunu have designed the product around a more simplified 9mm single dynamic driver setup which features carbon nano-tube technology.

Spec-wise Dunu have stated that the Falcon-C has an impedance of 16-ohm along with a sensitivity of 106 dB, and a frequency response range of 10-40kHz. Going as low as 10Hz is pretty darn impressive, but we’ll have to wait and see how loud the driver is able to produce that particular frequency in reference to the rest of the spectrum.
It also features a 4-core 6N single crystal hybrid copper and silver cable measuring in at a pretty standard 120cm (47-inch) which does not include an in-line remote or mic.

According to this site, the Falcon-C will ship with 6 silicon eartips, a 1/4″ adapter, and an aircraft adapter.

Pricing and Availability

According to the same site as referenced previously, it seems that the Falcon-C is to be sold for around $210. This suggests that the Falcon-C might very well be in direct competition with the likes of MEE Audio’s Pinnacle P1, which is also built around a single dynamic driver setup, and is priced at $200.
No official word on availability for the Falcon-C seems to have been made public yet.
