FiiO Introduces JadeAudio and EW1 True Wireless Earbuds

Whilst FiiO have their own broad portfolio of audio products, their exponential growth in the earphone market in particular has been rather impressive. However, it seems that FiiO wanted to have a broader consumer reach and to target more affordable price brackets, and thus they have introduced JadeAudio – a sub-brand of FiiO

At this point, it’s unclear if JadeAudio will focus solely on earphones, or if they will do so primarily whilst exploring other audio products too, but for the moment they are offering 2 products.
The first is called the XC1, and this seems to essentially be the same device as FiiO’s own uBTR without NFC capabilities. The similarities can be found in the Bluetooth chip, the amplifier, the rated power output, the battery capacity, as well as the battery life.
The biggest difference between the XC1 and the uBTR is the price, as the former comes with a 25% price-cut compared to FiiO’s version.

The other product available from JadeAudio is a set of true wireless earbuds called the EW1. What’s interesting here is that FiiO don’t have their own set of true wireless earbuds yet, and so if you’re looking for such a product from the likes of FiiO, then the EW1 from JadeAudio will be your only option for now. Spec-wise the EW1 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with standard SBC as well as AAC and AptX formats. What actually seems pretty unbelievable is that the EW1 even sports cVc 8.0 noise-cancellation technology, as well as a water-resistance rating (although the exact IPX rating has not been mentioned).
JadeAudio have stated that these true wireless earbuds have a battery life of 7 hours on a single charge, but this can be pushed to a total of 21 hours when using the sleek and nifty included storage/carrying case.
At the time of writing this article the EW1 can be purchased from the official JadeAudio store on AliExpress for just $42.49 which is way below the cost of competing products from the likes of Bose and Sony.
