Fiio Release L26 Balanced Adapter Cable
It seems Fiio is spending quite a lot of their time and resources to bring some very useful products to the market. This time round they’ve released their L26 adapter cable, which can be used to connect a 2.5mm balanced connection to a 3.5mm single ended connection.

More and more manufacturers are designing 2.5mm balanced connections into their devices. Both of Fiio’s X3 Mark 3 and X5 3rd Gen have balanced connection, as does the standard amp module on their latest X7 iteration, as well as their new Q1ii mini DAC. Shanling too have announced that their much-anticipated upcoming M3s DAP will also offer a 2.5mm balanced connection. You can read more about the M3s here.
Naturally, more and more headphone/IEM manufacturers are offering 2.5mm balanced terminations on their products too.
However, unless that headphone/IEM has been designed with the option to replace the cable, you would be limited in the fact that you could then only use that specific set of headphones/IEMs with a balanced capable device.
As such, the need for an adapter that’ll convert a 2.5mm balanced termination to a standard 3.5mm single ended connection arises.
Fiio have heard the cries from wanting consumers, and so have created the L26. It joins quite a slew of other cable solutions made by Fiio, all of them constructed with high quality craftsmanship and materials.
The L26 employs the use of high quality 6N oxygen-free silver-plated copper cable for the conductors. The cable portion itself measures around 5cm, ensuring that the L26 is a relatively unobtrusive solution.
