Samsung reveals Galaxy Watch Active 2 Golf Edition

Samsung has revealed two new models of its popular Galaxy Watch Active 2: Galaxy Watch Active 2 Golf Edition and LTE Aluminum. Both models are overall based on Active 2 meaning most internals and software is the same, but each model brings its own tweaks that gives you more choice over what Active 2 model would suit your need better.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 Golf Edition

Galaxy Watch Active 2 Golf Edition has slightly improved external design, but the focus of its upgrade is the software aimed at golf players. It will help you keep track of golf shot distance and even access the Smart Caddie app on the watch which will offer you info about over 40,000 golf courses all around the world. When it comes to the strap, the Golf Edition smartwatch has a waterproof rubber strap with small holes throughout that allows your skin to breathe. It will be available in two models: Aqua Black 44mm housing that will be available for around $320, and Pink Gold 40mm housing that will be available for around $300.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 LTE Aluminum

The second model is LTE Aluminum and, as its name suggests, offers LTE connectivity which means you will be able to connect to the internet, as well as make phone calls and send text messages. It is also available in two sizes, 44mm or 40mm aluminum option, but unlike the previous model, it can be mixed and matched with three color options: Aqua Black, Cloud Silver, and Pink Gold. The price of the 44mm model is going to be approximately $325, while the 40mm model will be around $295.

At the moment, Golf Edition and LTE Aluminum Edition are only available in South Korea, but Samsung did state that they will be coming to US and UK. The LTE model is also going to be available in Europe, but the date when it hits international markets is still not known.
