IFI Audio release new micro iDSD Black label As new upgrade of idsd series
iFi Audio will be releasing a new and updated version of their popular DAC and AMP, the micro iDSD. The new iDSD Black Label, as the name suggests, will come on an all-new satin black chassis with orange labels that looks bold and stunning. Icons and labels are defined and are easy to read. iFi has also upgraded the Digital Engine with iFi custom ultra-low noise Op-Amp OV2028 and the analogue section with iFi custom ultra-low noise Op-Amp OV2627. To put on much more easier terms, the new iDSD sounds much smoother with more weight and body to the mid-range and the bass is now deeper and cleaner. As some previous costumers have requested, iFi has also improved the 3D Holographic and XBass function of the iDSD.
It is now more easy to discern and has more impact. Turn on the switch and you can much more easily notice the difference. So, will the iDSD Black Label retail at the same price? Unfortunately, not. The iDSD BL will cost 549 USD which is a 10% price increase from the previous model. But with all the improvements that is included in the package together with an all new look that can surely catch attention, 10% increase could be worth it.
