iPad mini 6 comes with the new A15 Bionic Chip

Apple introduced the latest iPad mini tablet today which comes with a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and features Apple’s A15 Bionic processing chip. Apple claims that the new iPad mini 6 will deliver up to 80 percent faster performance than its predecessor. It will also come with the brand new iPadOS 15.

Even with the bigger size, the iPad mini is still Apple’s smallest tablet since its launch in 2012. However, the iPad mini 6 comes with a slightly different design. This includes narrower bezels and new rounded corners. New color options are also available. In addition to the classic space grey, we will also have starlight, pick, and purple.

Perhaps the most important addition to the new iPad mini is the USB-C port with up to 5Gbps data transfer speed that opens the doors of connectivity to a wide range of devices from cameras to external storage. It also features upgraded 12MP cameras on the front and back with the rear camera featuring True Tone flash and Focus Pixels and the front camera supporting Apple’s Center Stage feature.

The new iPad mini 6 supports WiFi 6, and cellular models have 5G support with download speed up to 3.5Gbps. and because there is no iPad without Apple Pencil support, the new iPad mini supports the 2nd generation of Apple Pencil which can attach magnetically to the iPad and supports wireless charging. All that with an all-day battery life made available by Apple’s A15 Bionic chip.

The new iPad mini 6 is available for order today and will be available in stores on September 24th with prices starting at $499 for the regular model, and cellular models start at $649.
