New Logitech headphones aim at combining the worlds of Gaming and Music into one

Whenever you go looking for a new headset you’re usually trapped in a situation where it’s either entirely specialized for gaming or for music, being a fan of both used to be a tough task that usually required you to end up getting two different headphones. Logitech headphones might be the answer you’re looking for, as the new G433 and G233 are aimed at connecting the two worlds together.

“If you’re like me and game a lot, having an awesome gaming headset is critical,” said vice president and manager of Logitech G, Ujesh Desai. “And if you love music then having a great pair of headphones is also important. Now you can have one headset that delivers the best of both worlds.”

Logitech’s 7.1 surround G433, as well as its little sister G233 Prodigy Gaming are able to provide excellent quality for both uses in a stylish and comfortable design. For starters, the G433 comes with a fabric stain-resistant finish in Red, Blue or Black colors. Looking inside the earcup we can notice the breathable mesh covering that can be replaced with another set of earcups that have microfiber fitting.

Inside the headphone there’s a 40mm Pro G driver tuned to work with analogue sources. Frequency response between 20Hz to 20kHz, 20 Ohms impedance, and a sensitivity level of 107dB@1kHz all indicate a sound that surpasses other gaming solutions musically speaking. There’s also a little detachable 100Hz on 10kHz microphone if you want to use that.

Connectivity includes a mobile cable with volume rockers and a built-in microphone for on-the-go experience, while another 3.5mm gaming cable is also included for PC or gaming consoles. A Y splitter allows you to connect your headphones to an analogue source, while a USB adapter with DTS Headphone:X 7.1 sound card gives you the surround experience you’re looking for.

As for G233 it comes similar to the previous model but with minor differences mainly in the outer design and the absence of 7.1 surround system, while the 40mm drivers are still intact. G233 is priced at a budget $80 while the more expensive G433 will be available for $100 when it launches worldwide in the next few weeks.
