Monoprice launches a new Dolby Atmos soundbar

Buying a Dolby Atmos sound system can be a bit pricey, or at least used to be. Monoprice is launching a new sound soundbar system with a reasonable price tag. The Monoprice SB-600 soundbar system is a 5.1.2 system for less than $450. The Monoprice Sb-600 includes a soundbar, a wireless subwoofer, and two wireless speakers that will ensure a Dolby Atmos surround sound experience in your living space.

The main soundbar features 2 x 2 inches cones for the center channel, two 2.5 inches drivers for the left and right as well as tweeters and up-firing units for the sides. The bar can deliver up to 125W of power. The subwoofer features a down-firing con with a power output of 180W.

The speakers on the other hand serve only as surround sound channels with no highest elements. With a power output of only 13W, they are meant to spread around the room for an ultimate surround sound.

As for the connections, the SB-600 system is designed to serve as a hub in the center of your entertainment set. It features two Dolby Vision and 4k-rated HDMI inputs as well as an eARC-enabled HDMI output which allows for the best audio quality. It also packs ports for coaxial, optical, USB, and a 3.5mm jack as well as Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless functionality.

Along with the sound system, Monoprice is shipping an IR remote, an HDMI cable, and wall-mounting brackets.

This new budget-friendly sound system is available now on Monoprice’s official website for $449. It seems like a really good deal for those who are looking to set up their first sound system but don’t want to spend a ton of money.
