Chord Releases Leather Case for Hugo 2
When buying a premium and high-quality product, one of your biggest concerns would be to keep it in tip-top shape and away from any danger. Following on from Chord’s recently released Hugo 2 (a refresh of the original Hugo), the company has now released a premium leather case for the device. This will be a welcomed accessory for everyone who has invested their hard-earned cash in this high performance audio product.
A Collaboration
The case was designed and styled by Chord Electronics in collaboration with VanNuys Inc. and is exclusively manufactured by VanNuys Inc. in Tokyo.
Design
The design seems to have been well-thought-out, allowing unrestricted access to all button, ports, and indicators. Chord states that the case offers “reliable protection from everyday knocks and bumps”. The case has been designed to fit the Hugo 2 snugly, and the red contrast-stitching looks like a nice aesthetic touch. So far it seems that black will be the only colour-option for the official leather case.
Pricing
Prices seem to be a bit inconsistent, mainly due to regional differences. In the UK, prices are around £125, whereas it seems to go for around €150 in other parts of Europe. US prices are around the $130 mark.
