Dirt 5 Review – The best Dirt game ever

Perhaps Dirt 5 is the best game that Codemasters brought us ever. It’s the game that all racing games players would enjoy as it was able to take the race to the next level. The Developer, Codemasters put the player as a priority when designing the game, which made a huge success.

Dirt Rally 2.0 was the only game that made the series really special, as it was considered the perfect version for rally racing. It gave us a distinctive driving style, and it could satisfy a lot of those interested in this type of racing, but something was still missing. Well, whatever it is, Dirt 5 has brought that missing thing, offering us a new perspective of rally racing.

Dirt 5 is here to restore glory to the series. It has everything you would ask for in a rally racing game, a large number of cars on off-road tracks, classic rally cars, and a driving style that has undergone a lot of adjustments, you can really feel the transition from a bumpy dirt road to another asphalt one. All these changes and upgrades were able to provide the players with a realistic feeling while playing.

Dirt 5 Review – First impression

It’s clear that Dirt 5 has found the right way to make a good impression. You can notice that from the first race. My first race put me in the Norwegian village of Henningsvaer, I was driving the amazing Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V1 from the 1990s. The game is designed to be as realistic as possible, as you can notice the changes that happened to the car during the race, whether it’s the dirt from the racing track, or any damages that the car took during the race.

Every car you drive will feel completely different, something that wasn’t that obvious in previous titles of the series. In Dirt 5, you can really tell the difference between a car with front or rear-wheel drive, and one that has four-wheel drive capability. You can really feel the difference between a car’s power from launch, engine noise, and sometimes even audible wheel movements. And as we talked about the big difference between going off-road to flat, that’s something you can hear with good sound effects as well, not just feel it.

There are tons of cars to try out, and as you progress through Career Mode, you get more money that you can use to buy new cars or modify the cars you already have. The more you progress through the game, buying a new car with an improved rotation style or more horsepower will be addictive, especially after noticing the impressive difference. You might find yourself sticking to a certain car for a long time, but the Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 which was really great for me, wasn’t enough on some tracks, and that’s what made the DIRT 5 a great game; It has several different modes that make every race a completely new experience.

Arcade mode

Aside from the realistic rally racing, the series has tried to offer us, DIRT 5 has an arcade mode. DIRT 2 and 3 might have been particularly distinguished for laying the groundwork for this type of racing. But even if you haven’t tried previous games, DIRT 5 has perfected the arcade mode.

At the end of the article, I can tell you that DIRT 5 has brought back the sparkle to this series. Exciting racing modes, new tracks, and well-designed cars, I can find myself playing the game for hours on end without getting bored, and this is due to the great diversity within the game modes, and fun racing challenges online.
