EarSonics Announce Blade and Stark IEMs

EarSonics, the IEM manufacturer which hails from France, have produced some of the best quality IEMs on the market. Recently they have announced two brand new hybrid-IEM additions to their lineup called Blade and Stark.

Meet The Blade

First up we’ve got the Blade, which features a triple-driver configuration alongside a 3-way crossover network. The driver setup is comprised of 2 balanced-armatures as well as a new 8mm dynamic driver.
The internal structure to which all the drivers and the crossover circuitry is affixed is made of acrylic and created via a 3D printing process, but the external housing is made entirely of metal.

The Blade has a frequency response of 10-20kHz, and the impedance is listed as being 18.5-ohms, whereas the sensitivity is 125dB/mW which should ensure that it receives perfectly adequate power from even some of the most modest portable players.

In Stark Contrast

To a large extent, the Stark is very similar to the Blade in the sense of being of a hybrid-design and it features the same 3D-printed acrylic internal structure alongside the metal external casing.
However, what is different is that the driver-setup employed here features 5 drivers in total, one of which is also an 8mm dynamic driver as is found in the Blade, and the crossover network is also of a 3-way design.
Interestingly, the Stark also seems to have the exact same specification figures as the Blade since the frequency response is also rated at 10-20kHz, the impedance is also 18.5-ohms, and the sensitivity is again rated at being 125dB/mW.

Pricing and Availability

Both of these new models can be purchased directly from the EarSonics online store which you can find here. The Blade comes with a price of 549.00 (roughly $615), whereas the more premium Stark will set you back more than double with a price-tag of 1390 (about $1555).
