Fitbit Versa 2 Smartwatch: Everything You Can Expect

Fitbit is one of the leading companies when it comes to activity trackers and smartwatches, but even its strongest smartwatch competitor was slightly lagging behind the latest Apple Watch. The rumors that Fitbit is releasing the next generation of its most famous smartwatch were confirmed with the new leaks by Evan Blass that showed what we can expect from Fitbit Versa 2.

The biggest change seems to be coming in the form of display redesign. Instead of using the LCD display like in other models, Fitbit Versa 2 will feature a new AMOLED display that almost seamlessly blends in with the bezel. This is also enabled by the removal of the company’s logo from below the display which made the bezel even smaller. There is also only one button rather than three like in the previous model, combined with further tweaks of the display and the case.

Among other features, we can expect the PurePulse heart rate sensor, true water resistance, FitBit Pay as a payment method and the same form of charging. Furthermore, Fitbit is introducing Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa to the smartwatch which would make it a more fair competition with the Apple Watch that already relies on commands with Siri. There could be more software changes coming for the new generation of Fitbit Versa, but we will most likely know this at the official release.

The company still hasn’t officially announced the Fitbit Versa 2, but as we are looking at a pretty detailed leak here, the release date is most likely to happen pretty soon. The price is unknown as well, but we have to keep in mind that the first generation of Versa smartwatch was $199.95 at release so we should expect at least that much.
