Goodbye iPod… Apple puts the end to the story!

When it first came in 2001, the iPod was the device that changed the way we consume music, the whole idea of storing, playing, and sharing our favourite tracks. At that time, Steve Jobs was proud to claim that his new baby could store up to 1,000 songs and was small enough just to fit in your pocket, but now Apple Music has more than 75 million available with a simple app from everywhere.

In a press release on Tuesday, 10 may, Apple announced that it would discontinue the iPod Touch, the last alive version of the iPod, which puts an end to the era of one of the most iconic tech gadgets of all times. The device will still be available to buy until the supplies end, costing just under 200$.

The death of the iPod was inevitable; even when some rumors spoke about a new generation, nobody seemed ever to imagine the idea, as it meant a totally new product and utterly different from the iPod.

However, it was the iPhone that started the death of its old brother, and Apple knows that more than everyone. The company didn’t forget to offer its customers some alternative options to the iPod, including the Apple Watch and iPhone SE.
