Jabra Elite 85t Are Here, And ANC Firmware For the 75t

A few months back, Jabra released their Elite 75t wireless earbuds. Now the audio company is releasing a new pair of wireless earbuds, and its first pair of wireless earbuds with ANC, the Jabra Elite 85t. However, if you purchased the older Elite 75t or Elite Active 75t earbuds, there’s nothing to regret, as the company is offering a software update to add ANC to these two models.

Starting with the new update, Jabra’s Elite 75t series of earbuds are already equipped with the right hardware to perform noise-cancellation as they both have built-in microphones and a Qualcomm processor. Now, users will be able to perform a software update through the Sound+ app on their smartphones. If you haven’t purchased the Elite 75t earbuds yet, then starting next month you will have ANC installed right when you buy it.

Moving on to the all-new Elite 85t earbuds, these earbuds will feature a more advanced noise-cancellation functionality, thanks to the three built-in microphones in each earpiece, as well as a more advanced processor. They will also feature an on-bud slider that allows the users to customize the level of noise cancellation that fits their preferences. An ambient mode functionality is also available through the HearThrough mode so users can hear what’s happening around them whenever they need to.

These new earbuds feature 12-millimeter drivers “for big sound and powerful bass.” They also feature a new “semi-open design” that allows for natural audio to pass through when needed. The new design comes after some complaints from users about the ear-plug effect that happens due to the closed design. Battery life can go up to 5.5 hours with ANC on with one charge, this number goes up to a total of 25 hours with the charging case, and can go even higher to 31 hours without ANC.

The Jabra Elite 85t earbuds are rated IPX4 for water and sweat resistance, and they support wireless charging. At launch, only a titanium / black color will be available, with other colors such as Gold/Beige, Copper/Black, Black, and Grey following later in 2021.

These high-end earbuds will be available in November for $229, but preorders start next month.
