JBL Announces The JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam soundbar

On its 75th birthday, JBL is having a fest and celebrating by announcing many new products including wireless headphones, portable speakers, and soundbars. One of the announcements is the new JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam soundbar that offers virtual Dolby Atmos providing you with a 3D surround sound experience. 

The new soundbar uses Harman Multibeam technology to give the feeling of surround sound without having any height channels. It features four passive drivers that JBL claims will deliver the right amount of “deep and punchy bass,” so users won’t need an extra subwoofer or additional surround speakers.

“Built with industrial elements that exhibit a sleek, modern look, the JBL Bar 5.0 MultiBeam is a welcome addition to anyone’s household,” said Dave Rogers, the President of HARMAN Lifestyle Audio. “Alongside an upgraded compact design and added technological features, this soundbar rounds out the JBL Bar Series, bringing consumers an added layer of innovation and ease of use.”

This new JBL soundbar is an all-in-one soundbar designed to be used easily with the user in mind. Users will be able to stream music through the service of their choice, it supports Alexa Multi-Room Music, Apple AirPlay 2, in addition to a built-in Chromecast. Bluetooth is also on board. The new soundbar is compatible with all iOS and Android devices.

The JBL Bar 5.0 MultiBeam will be available only in black color. According to JBL, it will be available for order in Spring 2021 for $399.95.
