JBL Link Bar promised a year ago is finally out

In spring last year during the Google I/O conference, JBL announced it will be releasing a new Android TV soundbar later in 2018. That never happened and over a year later, the device is finally here. JBL Link Bar, how the device is called, offers its users two main useful features: Android TV and the control using Google Assistant.

Link Bar features a built-in Chromecast which means that streaming of music, podcasts, radio and any videos from any smartphone is very easy and quick. Except connecting it using WiFi, you can also connect devices through Bluetooth as well as four HDMI inputs which creates a 4K entertainment hub out of your TV, even if it is not originally a smart TV.

Moreover, with the Google Assistant compatibility, Link Bar will allow you to search for a movie you could watch, ask random facts about anything that interests you, but also manipulate other smart home appliances and lights right before the movie or a game starts. The microphone can be muted thanks to the PrivacySwitch™ so you have even more privacy and data security.

The JBL Link Bar is available on the company’s website for $399.95 in Black color option.
