Roku wireless speakers are only for Roku’s TVs

As TVs evolve, they get thinner and thinner, and that makes it very hard to include good built-in speakers in them, so most users tend to buy separate speakers for their TVs, in order to enjoy sound. Roku has seen this problem and decided to solve it by the acquisition of Danish audio startup Dynastrom last year for $3.15 million. When we heard about the acquisition, we all knew that Roku has decided to enter the audio world, and now we see the first result of this step, when Roku unveiled their new pair of Roku wireless speakers that are designed specifically for Roku’s TVs.

The company’s goal is not to deliver high-end speakers that will give you the best sound quality ever, but to give the users a simple solution that is much better than the TV’s default built-in speakers, so if you are an audiophile who cares a lot about high-quality sound, then these pair of speaker is not meant for you, but if you were just a simple user who wants the sound to be a bit better when they are watching a movie or playing a video game, then Roku got your back.

Roku wireless speakers are so simple to set up, all you have to do is to plug them in power and press the connect button at the back, and the speakers will connect automatically to your Roku TV through WiFi, there is another Bluetooth option if you prefer Bluetooth connection.

One issue that some users might be concerned about is the problem of latency, Roku promised that they solved this problem by running their own operating system on both the TV and the speakers, so the two devices can communicate with each other freely offering a sync audio and video. And in case it was so complicated, then the system will switch back automatically to the built-in TV speakers.

The speakers will ship with a Roku Voice Remote, as well as a new Touch controller that you can be used to access simple features like volume controls, video playable and voice commands.

Ruko wireless speakers will be available by October only on Roku.com for $200, but the company has an introductory pre-order offer for one week, you can get them $150, and after that, you can still pre-order them for a discount price of $180 until 15th of October.
