Sony HT-G700 Soundbar With Dolby Atmos Support
Dolby Atmos is slowly becoming the norm when setting up home entertainment units or Home theaters. Sony is making Dolby Atmos more affordable with the latest addition to its 2020 soundbars collection. The Sony HT-G700 is a 3.1-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar and subwoofer combination will offer you the ultimate cinematic experience.
The new Sony HT-G700 features Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine that helps the three front speakers create up to a 7.1.2-channel surround sound with a sense of height and width. This will ensure the surround sound experience with no need for upward-firing or rear speakers.
According to Sony, the signal processing has been improved when compared to previous Sony Dolby Atmos soundbars such as the Sony HT-XF9000 soundbar, this will help deliver surround sound to a wider area. Dialogue clarity has also been improved by adding a dedicated center speaker.

When it comes to connectivity, the Sony HT-G700 features HDMI eARC connectivity in order to deliver high-quality Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound from a connected TV, Bluetooth connectivity is also available in case you want to stream something from your phone.
The Sony HT-G700 offers different preset modes such as the Immersive Audio Enhancement or EA that can transfer normal stereo audio to a 7.1.2 surround sound, while Sony’s S-Force PRO mode can ‘lift’ sound higher to cover the top of larger TVs as large as 55 inches according to Sony. You also have Cinema, Music, Night, and Voice modes to choose between them according to your preferences.
Sony’s latest soundbar will be available starting this month for a price tag of $600 offering an affordable Dolby Atmos experience for the audiophiles out there.
