Sony’s Xperia Touch interactive laser projector gets release date, price
Sony’s futuristic Xperia Touch will be coming to Japan and Europe this spring. The price of this absolutely amazing piece of technology will be 1,499 Euro.

The Sony Xperia Touch is a short-throw laser projector that can project a live image to a size up to 80 inches. What makes this “device-from-the-future” so special is if used in 23-inch mode where its infrared detectors make any surface into a 10 point multi-touch screen.
The little battery- and mains-operated box can be placed on the kitchen to browse and scroll through recipes right next to the salad bowl, without messing up a screen. Kids can virtually paint on any surface without leaving permanent damage. Instruments can be simulated and played on your dining table or work desk.

Did you play air hockey as a kid? Well how about playing it on your dining table. With the Xperia Touch all kind of action- and social multiplayer games are possible. The sound comes from build in stereo speakers but thanks to products like the ifi iOne you can even use your home entertainment setup for the sound output.
Face recognition is build in as is gesture control, for example to wake it up from sleep, and since the Sony Xperia Touch runs the latest Android N, it also reacts to a spoken “Ok, Google”. You can also project your screen onto any surface, desk, wall and thanks to the build in camera you can make video calls with Skype too.
Battery life is around 1hour – given the amazing technology inside – quite a feat. Most people will have this device plugged into power most of the time anyway.
The Sony Xperia Touch will be released in specific markets in the Spring 2017 for prices from 1,499 Euro.
