Spotify Karaoke Mode Might Be Coming Soon

Spotify is always working on something new, every month there’s at least one or two news about a new feature being developed by Spotify, and this month is no exception. Spotify Karaoke Mode is the new feature the company is working on right now.

Spotify Karaoke Mode was first spotted by Jane Manchun Wong on Twitter who discovered some hints that Spotify might be working on such a feature.

The feature will include choosing songs, adjusting the vocal levels to your taste, and of course, showing the lyrics for the song. Karaoke sessions are something missing from Spotify, and it will be an awesome addition if the Swedish streaming service decides to roll with it.

When asked about this new feature by NME, a Spotify spokesperson answered: “At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning.”.

This response doesn’t confirm anything but it’s a typical response from Spotify.

It’s worth mentioning that Spotify already provides a “Behind the lyrics” service in collaboration with Genius. The feature allows users to see some of the lyrics of selected songs, as well as some information about the song. This can be annoying sometimes when all you want is to sing along. The streaming service also provides a real-time lyrics feature in 26 markets, including India and countries in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

For now, we are left wondering whether Spotify will roll the feature worldwide or only in selected markets, assuming that the company will roll it eventually.
