Your Time Capsule feature

Spotify has come back to the customized playlists for its customers, but this time through the nostalgia portal or what is known as the love to go back to the past, the sense that is within each of us. Now you can enjoy listening to the music that you have listened to in your youth without having to search for it or brainstorm your mind to remember, through Your Time Capsule feature.

The company described the new list as the list that will contain the most 30 tracks that were widespread during your teenager and it commented in a blog post saying:

We are excited to announce the launch of our latest personalized playlist: Your Time Capsule. Available today for all Spotify users in 60 Spotify markets, Your Time Capsule gathers the 30 most nostalgic tracks from your teens and early twenties, creating the soundtrack for a trip down memory lane.

All you need to do is access Your Time Capsule website or access the “Decades” section of the Spotify application itself, and then create your own list.

This list was launched on the occasion of “International Day of Rock N Roll“, which comes every year to mark the anniversary of Live Aid concert, based on how many times these tracks have been played in the first half of 2017.

It is not so difficult. Despite its beauty, Spotify simply knows how old you are, so it’s easy with some of the simple algorithms to get to know in which year you lived your teenager and in which year you have completed your 20th year and then make a list of songs that were released and most prevalent in these years depending on the number of times of listening and playback on the application itself. It is still a remarkable and commendable step.
