Spotify Releases Its New Spotify Apple Watch App

Spotify has finally launched its Apple Watch app, an app that a lot of people were waiting for. The new app will allow users to play music and podcast right from their Apple Watch, control music playback, and many other features that we will talk about here.

Users will be able to access their music library, play their favorite playlists and other recently played music through their Apple Watch as well as the ability to connect you Spotify to other devices like your laptop or your wireless speaker through the Spotify Connect feature.

“We know the importance of having music on the go, which is why we’re excited to bring a new Spotify app to our highly mobile users on Apple Watch,” Spotify said. “With this new app, users can enjoy an improved experience with better control and the ability to seamlessly connect to your speakers or devices.”

Small but useful features are also there, like the shuffle button, or the ability to skip songs as well as rewinding your podcast by 15 seconds in case you didn’t catch something. All that in addition to play and stop music right from your Apple Watch without the need of your iPhone.

This is not the final version of the app, more updates will come later according to Spotify, which will include the ability to download songs and listen to them offline among other features.

An important thing to mention at the end is that the new Apple Watch Spotify doesn’t work unless you have the latest version of the Spotify app downloaded on your iPhone.
