In 2019, during the US. Chines trade war, Huawei was restricted from doing business with U.S. companies, therefore new smartphones won’t use Android as their operating system.
After the US. sanctions on Huawei, the company announced its new Harmony OS, a new operating system that will operate its smartphones instead of Android. The company claims that the new OS is more inclusive than Android.
