The Echo Dot 2nd Gen is a smart speaker that is voice-enabled with Alexa and can be placed in any room to play music, make calls, control smart home devices and more. The smart speaker can play music through Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora and others including podcasts, and can also be paired with Fire TV to voice control entertainment. It can also be used to make lists, create calendar events and set reminders and even give news, weather and traffic. Using Drop In, the Echo Dot 2nd Gen can be used to instantly connect to other compatible Echo at home or send announcements across Echo devices. Finally, apart from Alexa’s 50,000 skills, new skills are still being added and these can be discovered in the skill section of the Alexa app.
