Neumann put their decades of expertise and research into the acoustic filters found on the KMS 104 Plus. Beyond taming high SPLs transparently, the filters are designed to maintain the directivity of the mic capsule across the entire frequency range. While many cardioid microphones become much less cardioid in the lower bass frequencies, inviting feedback, the KMS 104 Plus rejects off-axis bass frequencies like a champ.
