Ruark Audio MR1 Mk2 Bluetooth Speaker System Walnut
The MR1 Mk2 features a Class A-B linear amplifier with a quality switch mode power supply. Linear amplifiers are usually used in the best audio equipments and usually performs better than other digital amplifiers for it produces a natural sound. It also features a high-quality aptX Bluetooth receiver that works with virtually all devices and leading music applications. The speakers have a control system that is easy to use allowing the source and volume to be quickly changed. In addition, the speakers also include a remote control that enables a user to operate the source, volume and functions in a distance. The MR1 Mk2 has both analogue and optical digital inputs that adds options on how a user would want to connect it. It also has a subwoofer output that enables the speakers to be connected to an active subwoofer for extra dynamics in music and impactful movie sound.

Alone, MR1 can be the foundation of a complete music system. Add a turntable and you can be part of the vinyl revival and with a high quality aptX Bluetooth receiver built-in, you can also stream and play your music wirelessly to MR1 from compatible devices with CD quality sound.

Our custom tweeter and bass units for MR1 have been designed specifically to ensure optimum performance from its compact dimensions, with both featuring powerful rare-earth neodymium motor systems. This special system provides greater magnetic concentration, for better driver control, in a lightweight and fully magnetically shielded system.

In addition, source, volume and functions can be operated and set from afar with the supplied compact remote control.
Always Ready
With auto-standby built in, MR1 will automatically enter sleep mode after a short period of time if no signal is detected. This feature is particularly useful when using MR1 as a sound system for your TV as they will automatically wake and sleep as and when the TV is turned on and off.
Get Connected
MR1 Mk2 features both an analogue and optical digital input allowing auxiliary devices to be easily connected. In particular, the optical input is ideal for connecting streaming devices such as Google Chromecast, Amazon Alexa or Apple AirPort Express and it also provides the perfect connection point for flat screen TV’s. MR1 also features a dedicated subwoofer output allowing an active subwoofer to be connected for extra dynamics in music and awesome movie sound.

A Mini Marvel
MR1 is a high fidelity speaker miniaturised and like larger high fidelity speakers, its internal crossover plays a vital role in making it sound so good! Many compact speakers use a basic single component crossover for ease of assemble and cost, but for MR1 we’ve designed a multi component network using select audio grade components throughout.

MR1 Mk2 features an attractive fixed grille clad in a unique British milled fabric from Camira. This timeless and resilient material, was one of just a few that met our requirement for both its attractive contemporary design and excellent acoustic properties.
Duo – Uno
As a pair MR1 sounds amazing, but to make them extra portable if the stereo speaker is disconnected then the master unit switches to mono operation. As a single unit MR1 is ideal for taking on holiday so you can enjoy great sound whilst you’re away from home. Add our optional rechargeable battery pack (BackPack) and you can also enjoy MR1 further afield, completely free of a mains connection.
BackPack II
Combine MR1 with our optional BackPack II and you will be able to enjoy MR1 wherever mains power is not available. Placing batteries inside takes valuable speaker capacity, but BackPack II allows MR1 to retain its rich mains powered performance with the benefit of complete portability.
A total evolution of the original, BackPack II attaches seamlessly to MR1 and once fitted can be left permanently in place as it charges automatically whenever connected to a mains power supply. A full charge will provide up to twelve hours of mains free listening depending on volume.
