The IE 800 S is a high-end in-ear headphones fitted with 7-mm transducers and Sennheiser’s patented dual-chamber absorber (D2CA) system creating an unbelievable sound stage rich in detail. The D2CA system further improves the experience by ensuring that the finest sounds are audible and not obscured by the loudest sounds. Apart from accurate reproduction of sounds, the IE 800 S also offers brilliant trebles and an improved bass sound to allow users to explore the depths of music. It is also built for comfort featuring ergonomically designed viscoelastic memory foam ear tips from Comply™ that conforms to an individual’s ear canal that also reduces external sounds. Additionally, the earphones feature premium scratch-resistant ceramic housing and comes with a leather case.

This innovation overcomes the "masking effect", where low-volume components of a sound are obscured by much louder sounds in a lower frequency range occurring at the same time. Removing the energy from any masking resonances to prevent unwanted peaks, the absorber system makes sure even the finest nuances of sound become audible – enabling a truly high-end listening experience.
