Less Than A Week Until The Galaxy Note 9 Launch

Ah the Note 9. After the famously poor reputation of the Note 7, Samsung eventually hit back with the Note 8. Now it seems that the time has come for the Note 9 to take over from the Note 8. The 11am EST on the 9th of August is the date and time of the launch, and Brooklyn, New York, is the location.

Whilst Samsung usually opted to unveil the latest iterations of their Note phablets in late August, we’ll be able to feast our eyes on their latest and greatest device a couple of weeks earlier this time around.

What Do We Know About The Note 9 So Far?

As is usually the case with ‘yet-to-be-released’ devices, especially the hot flagship models, the interwebs are rife with rumours and often dodgy claims.
What we know so far is that it’ll be officially unveiled on the 9th of August, and is set to be released into the market on the 24th of August. However, if you’re in the US you can already put your name down on the reserve list on this Samsung page.
But other than the release of the device, a lot of the info that floats around is still somewhat speculation. After an advert for the Note 9 was apparently leaked, it seems as though the Note 9 will be available with up to 512GB of internal storage. Couple that with another 512GB flash memory card and you’ve got a device capable of lugging around up to 1TB of data. That’ll be pretty sweet!

In terms of the design it doesn’t seem like much has changed from the Note 8. As far as your colour choices are concerned, there seems that there will be 3 variants namely ‘Mystic Black’, ‘Engineered Blue’, and ‘Artisan Copper’.

Other renders seem to show that the rear of the device has undergone some design changes. Here we see that the fingerprint sensor is located below the dual-camera lenses, but the orientation of the lenses have also changed compared to those on the Note 8.

So, this is the final leg of the waiting game. Perhaps we’ll see a few more leaks over the next few days, but the official launch is right around the corner.
