Echo Show is everything you liked about Echo but with a touch screen

What happens when you take all of the nice futures of Amazon’s home speaker Echo and put it inside a bigger device with a 7-inch touch display? The result is Echo Show, Amazon’s latest and greatest.

The new device that we’ve been hearing a lot about for a while now was finally revealed by Amazon today, as it basically confirmed the rumors about Echo Show being an Echo device with a touch screen, and it’s coming next June for a price of $230.

Show boasts a nice touchscreen above the speakers, which are said to be improved over the last Echo model and are “powerful, room-filling speakers with Dolby processing for crisp vocals and extended bass response“. The Show comes with 8 speaker pieces instead of seven, and it has a built in noise-cancellation feature to allow users to give commands even when music is playing.

The big new feature though is the ability to make both audio and video calls using the new device, which puts you a touch away from contacting others with the Show or Alexa app installed, from the comfort of your room.

So calling ability, improved speakers, and a touch screen to show you dates and schedules. We think that the Echo Show is going to be a great addition to Amazon devices’ family and a strong rival to Apple’s upcoming rumored device.
