Galaxy Tab S7 offers 120Hz refresh rate & 5G connectivity

During the annual Galaxy Unpacked event that took place today, Samsung unveiled five new products including new smartphones, earbuds, wearables and even the new generation of its Galaxy tablet. The new Galaxy TabS7 and S7+ will offer 5G connectivity which is a feature that is still not even completely adapted in the world of smartphones, let alone tablets. Here is everything else you need to know about the new Galaxy Tab.

Galaxy Tab S7 Specs & Design

Samsung announced two tablets: S7 and S7+ which mostly differ in the display specs. When it comes to S7, you get a 11-inches LTPS LCD display with DCI-P3 color range with a low blue light feature, while with the S7+ you get a 12.4-inches Super AMOLED display with HDR10+, NTSC color range and an eye care feature. Both devices offer 120Hz refresh rate, but as it is a responsive display, it will adjust the rate based on current use and save your battery on the long run.

Galaxy Tab S7 offers quad speakers by AKG and Dolby Atmos, allowing you to enjoy your favourite show almost as if you were in the cinema. When it comes to the internals, Tab S7 has made a significant improvement compared to its predecessor with faster core and graphic performance, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. You can choose between 6GB and 8GB of RAM, as well as between 128, 256, and 512GB of storage. And, if that isn’t enough, there is also a microSD slot for up to 1TB.

With Fast Charging and 10,090mAh battery, you can expect around 14 hours of playback time on both devices. And, as we mentioned before, you will be able to enjoy the 5G network speed. Last specification we must mention is the camera. With the new Galaxy Tab S7 models, you will be able to record conversations with both front and back cameras, optimize the scene while taking photos and even take a night hyperlapse, thanks to the 5MP Ultra Wide Camera and the 13MP Wide-angle camera.

You will be able to access over 100 Xbox games without having to download them thanks to the Xbox Pass which will be available starting 15th September 2020 and, if you enjoy watching YouTube, you would be happy to hear that you also get 4 months for free of YouTube Premium which allows you to watch your favourite content ad-free and even offline. Finally, for those who are planning on using the tablet for illustration and design, you will get 6 months free of Clip Studio Paint program, as well as 30 days free of Canva Pro.

Of course, we can’t forget about the signature S-pen that comes alongside all Tab devices. The new model that comes alongside Galaxy Tab S7 models is completely redesigned to offer an improved, more comfortable grip and a much lower latency for a more smooth working experience. It can even be attached to the back of the tablet when not being used. If you prefer having a keyboard rather than handwriting on the display, with the book cover keyboard you can turn the tablet into a lightweight, portable laptop whenever you want.

Galaxy Tab S7 Release Date & Price

Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ are both going to be available in three color options: Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Bronze, all of which are unique to today’s device lineup. The tablets are going to be available starting on the 21st of August, and the price is set at $649.99 for Tab S7 and $849.99 for Tab S7+. The book cover keyboard is sold separately, available for $199.99 for the S7, and for $229.99 for the S7+.
