Google Lens Will Now Help You With Your Homework

The summer holiday is almost over, and students are going back to school slowly, but due to the ongoing pandemic, most students around the world are going to start their school year from home and they need all the help that they can get. Google is trying to provide its share of help by announcing a few new features that will make virtual education easier for students and parents at the same time. Google education features include new updates to Google Meet video conferencing service as well as a new feature that would solve your homework for you.

Most of the features that Google announced earlier in June are now confirmed to come to Meet by September. A new larger tiled view that can show up to 49 participants will roll out for Meet users in September. When first launched in April, the tiled view on Google Meet could show only 16 participants. Now, Meet can actually compete with Zoom’s 49 participants view. Google is also adding its digital whiteboard product, Jamboard to Meet also in September, and later in October, users will be able to blur or replace their background.

Away from Meet, Google also announced a bunch of new features that would help students to learn and study at home. Perhaps the most interesting one is a new feature coming to Google Lens which allows students to take a photo of their homework and get help solving it by Google. Students will also be able to visualize nearly 100 concepts in biology, chemistry, and other science topics by searching for them on Google and pressing on the “view in 3D” button.

Google announced many other education-focused updates that will help students and make learning at home a more fun experience. If you want to take a closer look at all the updates, you can check Google Blog to read all the articles.
