Just Cause 4 Review – A new adventure

Have you ever felt that the scenes you see before you have happened before? This is because it has already happened, and on this basis comes the action and adventure game Just Cause 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC to bring you back to the role of the hero, Rico. In Just Cause 4, you will slide across mountains, fight enemies, and parachute back to cross the road that will lead you to an oppressed country. Your mission is to free it from a strict dictatorial grip. Does that sound familiar? Well, that’s because it is.

Although all the games in the Just Cause series feature similar stories, and the same plots are taken and repeated over and over from previous versions, this may be what distinguishes this new title of the series; Not because the same storyline is repeated again, but because Just Cause 4 is definitely the best version of this storyline so far.

Just Cause 4 Review – Deja vu

As happened in previous installments of the adventure series, in Just Cause 4 you will help the local resistance to bring down the dictatorial regime. Although this title tried to move away from a little from the repetition of its predecessors, there haven’t been any real changes to the main story despite its ability to keep things interesting. You are the noble soldier who will turn army bases into rubble, you will participate in many different missions on your way to achieve your goal, fighting an army of criminals, and solving problems that mankind has created on earth.

In addition to the main tasks and missions that you have to complete in order to finish the story, Just Cause 4 offers plenty of other side missions that you can find along the way. You will be able to drive or even fly in some missions. If you are not interested in doing any of the side missions, then all you have to do is ignore them and focus on the main story.

While the developing studio tried to introduce many new changes to the game, this installment of Just Cause failed to avoid repetitions when compared to previous games. Perhaps Avalanche Group doesn’t have any more plans to resurrect the Just Cause series. Some fans might understand this Stalemate in the development of the series and see that the developing studio has offered its best when it comes to content. But maybe it’s about time to reset things and save the Just Cause series from falling.

You will start the game in a deserted place, then carry out missions and kill enemies in an effort to liberate the village or island from the hand of a dictator. After doing a few tasks you can easily notice the repetition and similarity between Just Cause 4 and previous editions of the series. The similarity between tasks is not the only bad thing here, even in terms of story, characters, and the weak dialogue, the game did not take us further than living as an outlaw who can destroy everything.

Weapons, and Grand battles

Perhaps working on expanding the players’ arsenal of weapons (from electromagnetic cannons that you shoot from aircraft to super-weather-harness weapons, which includes a cannon that lets you detonate entire groups of enemies) was one of the good decisions that provided a unique experience for fans of the series, this variety in weapons is exactly what the series currently needs to break the repetition.

Frankly, the ability to call in multiple aircraft simultaneously to drop a wide range of weapons and heavy artillery within a specific area is also impressive. These changes completely redefine the course for the future of the game, giving you the freedom to turn Just Cause 4 into a fierce war zone whenever you want.

But who needs weapons in Just Cause 4, really; You can wipe out an entire army using the hook you have been equipped with, or you can use it to skillfully escape from any situation. There is a lot of variety in the battles that you fight within the game, from the weapons used to the way they are used to the completion of some tasks in the form of a spy, this kind of freedom that open-world games give you is what makes those games different from any other.

You must try Just Cause 4

If you are a fan of the Just Cause series, then you probably don’t care all that much about the repeating storyline, nor about the dialogues that the games presented us since the beginning.

Fans of Just Cause enjoy the open-world experience that the game provides, as well as the destruction that they can cause in that open world. Just Cause 4 is perfect for that. So if you are a true fan of the series, then you shouldn’t miss out on this installment.

Perhaps the reason behind the success of Just Cause 4 is the freedom that it gives the players, offering them a fully open-world experience. Players now can move anywhere on the map and transport between areas much faster, they also have a variety of side missions that they can perform besides the main story.

Try Just Cause 4, maybe just to check out all the new weapons, all the modes of transport from cars, to tanks, and fighter jets. Explore the fast map, and get involved in some action.
