Make your own music using only your Nintendo Switch with this upcoming DAW!

The deal is about to become better than ever for music creators and lovers on the Nintendo Switch, as Korg Gadget app opens up a whole new world of possibilities on the globe’s most beloved hybrid console.

When Nintendo revealed their “new ways to play” project through Nintendo Labo, putting a variety of cardboard accessories under your command, one accessory stuck out as the most interesting for music lovers which was a piano made only from the Switch itself and a DAW app. This combination proved to be intriguing enough for fans, as Nintendo’s consoles have always been home to creative tools like the Super Mario Maker game which lets you build and play your own levels.

Korg Gadget, developed by Detune ltd. is the latest release of the famous DAW application and the first of which to ever see the light of the day on Switch. The new edition comes with several core differences that sets it apart from the iOS and Mac versions, as Detune is working to deliver game-like experience rather than a plain music creation app.

The Korg Gadget Switch release comes loaded with 16 synths and instruments from the get go with possibly more to come later on. The console’s prominent features will be expanded on like the Joy Cons motion sensing in turning knobs and putting notes on the screen, as well as the advanced rumble features to make you feel the different tunes. Of course, it isn’t a Switch app without the ability to easily switch (pun intended) between TV and Portable mode and instantly so you can continue your work wherever you are.

According to Korg Gadget website, up to four users can play with each of them controlling using their Joy Cons, each having their own section of the screen to produce the song with their different styles, as well as mess up others work or help them out if they want.

No price has been revealed as of yet, but you can expect Korg Gadget to come out in some time during Spring 2018. You can learn more details through the official website here.
