The new Xiaomi Mi VR Play 2 Headset comes with a new design only for 14$
When you say, “cheap VR headsets”, the first thing that should pop on your mind is the Xiaomi Mi VR Play that was released in the Chinese markets for an insane “1 RMB” price, which roughly rounds up to 15 cents; making it available worldwide for about 15$.
No doubt with cheap price we’ll see more potential problems, one of these -the most important one in fact- is that the Xiaomi Mi VR Play is extremely uncomfortable. Well, luckily, Xiaomi Mi VR Play 2 made huge strides in terms of comfort.
The “enhanced” materials that the Xiaomi Mi VR Play 2 uses, allows you to wear the headset for more periods without getting uncomfortable, the side holes which are “strategically placed” should help keeping the headset cool, plus, the curves should stop the reflection out of the VR picture like the previous VR Play.
In addition to all that, the headset should be lighter, and, most importantly, will keep a relatively cheap price, selling at 99 RMB in Chinese markets, almost 15$. And while there’s no word from Xiaomi about worldwide distribution, international price is still a mystery.
