Philips launches Bass + True Wireless SHB4385 during IFA 2017

This year, Philips focused not only on TVs and video devices at the IFA 2017 conference in Berlin, but introduced the Philips Bass + True Wireless in-ear earbuds, code-named SHB4385 with competitive specifications.

  • Wireless earbuds
  • 6-hours battery life
  • Charging capsule
  • No microphone
  • Tracks control buttons
  • No volume control buttons

Philips introduced its new wireless earbuds Bass + True Wireless at the IFA 2017 conference beside its own charger dock.

What the company calls the “Charging Capsule” is a fully charged battery, which means you can get 12 hours of continuous work by charging the earbuds once for 6 hours, beside what the charging capsule contains, giving you six more hours.

The company didn’t announce the required period to fully charge the earbuds, but we know that 10 minutes of charging will give you one hour to enjoy your music.

One of the major disadvantages of Philips earbuds is that it doesn’t have a touch panel, which means all your activity such as moving forward, backward and escaping clips will be done via physical buttons.

Add to that the non-existence of volume control buttons, which means the only way to control volume will be via the phone’s volume control panel to adjust the volume.

Also, the earbud doesn’t have a microphone, which is another bad thing meaning you will not have the full experience of the headset.

The Philips Bass + True Wireless SHB4385 will be available in November in black, with a + sign for 129 euros, a small price compared to the competitors.

The company has released several versions of the BASS + category, including wired and other wireless via Bluetooth.

Of these versions, the SHL3175 is a wired earbuds priced at 40 euros, plus the SHB3175 wireless over-ear headset for 70 euros.

Both are available in black and white, with a retractable design.
