Pioneer’s latest digital network players revealed as N-70AE and N-50AE

Pioneer’s latest network players were revealed at Munich High End Show 2017 with an array of features including built-in Chromecast and Spotify Connect, in addition to many other connectivity options and a wide support for audio formats.

Both N-70AE and N-50AE are aimed at satisfying “audiophile’s desire to enjoy the full spectrum of network and hi-res sources”. And indeed, both devices come equipped with Sabre32 Ultra32 DACs and support for DSD files up to 11.2MHz, as well as FLAC, WAV, AIFF and Apple formats up to 24-bit/384kHz in N-70AE and 24-bit/192kHz in N-50AE.

Both devices offer full functionality of both Chromecast and Spotify Connect that you used to see in their own separate forms. They also support 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connection and of course, Bluetooth.

N-50AE

You will be able to check album covers through the 9cm colored screen on the front, which is a nice touch by Pioneer for a more modern look. You can also find some USB ins on the rear side to connect external drives in case you wanted to play your own files, which is done using a computer connected to the same network as the player.

Price-wise, N-70AE will cost you 1100 pounds while N-50AE comes at just 800 according to the announcement in Munich. Both models will be available to order in July this year.
