Samsung Galaxy S21: Everything You Need To Know

Finally, after months of waiting and dozens of rumors from all sides, Samsung has finally revealed its new flagship series. The new Samsung Galaxy S21 has been revealed during the Samsung Unpacked event following the CES 2021 conference in Las Vegas, and definitely brings a few new features worth talking about. Here is everything you need to know about the lineup specs, design, and official release date!

Galaxy S21 Design

Let’s first start with the design and the aesthetic of the new Galaxy S21 flagship. S21 model features a 6.2 inches dynamic AMOLED 2x display, while the Plus model features the same type but a bit bigger size with 6.7 inches. Both devices have very thin bezels all around, with a punch-hole selfie camera setup rather than a notch. Of course, as it was expected based on the previous Samsung flagships, both offer a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate and improved Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for damage and scratch protection.

There are 6 colors that you will be able to choose from with matching camera housing and frame based on the model you pick: Phantom Violet with gold frame, Phantom Silver with silver frame, Phantom Black with black frame, Phantom White with silver frame, Phantom Red with the pink-gold frame, and Phantom Gold with gold frame.

Galaxy S21 Specs

Samsung Galaxy S21, like other flagships, offers quite an impressive set of features and the latest processor that stands behind the brilliant performance. The new Exynos 5nm processor is the fastest and most powerful Galaxy chipset, and with the 8GB of RAM, you will be able to perform all of your actions even smoother and faster than before. When it comes to memory, it offers 256GB of built-in memory on the device with plenty of space for high-res videos and photos. Of course, all devices in the lineup have 5G connectivity that will significantly improve your gaming and consumption of online content. With the 4000mAh battery capacity, having improved performance won’t take a toll on the duration of your battery life. It also offers Super Fast Charging, both cable and wireless, as well as the Wireless PowerShare feature that allows you to use your phone to charge your buds or smartwatch. Finally, we do need to mention that neither device will be accompanied by a charger or earphones and such accessories will have to be purchased separately.

Galaxy S21 Camera

One of the biggest game-changers with the new Galaxy S lineup is the camera quality that has significantly improved across all models. The selfie camera has 10MP and is centered on the front display in a punch-hole housing. The back camera is protruded in a separate housing in the left corner and it has three sensors: 12MP ultra-wide, 12MP wide-angle, and 64MP telephoto lens.

When it comes to video, you are now able to film 8K video straight from your device which is the highest resolution achieved yet, while the 8K Video Snap allows you to create high-resolution photos within the video even after the video has been shot. Furthermore, Samsung introduced the Single Take AI that takes images and videos and with a single tap offers you a variety of post-ready photos and videos to choose from for your social media. The Super Steady feature also supports you in creating the smoothest footage despite shaky moments.
