Samsung Galaxy Watch Active can monitor your blood pressure

At the official Samsung event that company used to announce its new Samsung Galaxy S10 smartwatch, as well as the Galaxy Fold, new smartwatch made an appearance. The new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is officially announced and here are is what you can expect.

Talking about the design, Galaxy Watch Active features a 1.1-inch screen in combination with interchangeable 20mm silicone strap. The watch interface is revamped and the housing is made out of aluminum, holding an Exynos 9110 processor and 768MB of RAM, as well as 4GB of storage and 230mAh battery that is wirelessly charged. The smartwatch includes Bixby, Samsung’s smart assistant for the execution of simple tasks such as calls or sending messages. And not to forget, it features water resistance too.

Of course, as it is with most smartwatches, the new Galaxy Watch Active will have health-related features. It will hold features which are common for other Samsung Watches such as step tracking and heart rate monitoring. Besides these, it will also feature sleep tracking, stress levels and, for the first time present in any Samsung wearables, blood pressure monitoring.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will be priced at $200 and it will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, 21st February. The shipping will start on March 8th. It will be available in silver, black, rose gold and sea green color options.
