Spotify is testing a new What’s New timeline feature

Spotify doesn’t stop surprising us. Trying to keep up the competition with other music streaming services like Apple Music, and Amazon Prime Music and others, the Swedish streaming service announced some updates recently. But Spotify is on a continuous quest to improve the users’ experience, and now the company is testing a new What’s New timeline feature with some users.

Spotify confirmed the test to The Verge, saying “We are always testing new ways to create better-listening experiences for more users while continuing to find ways to connect artists to their fans.”

It’s not the first time that Spotify test some features with some users around the world, but that doesn’t mean that the new feature is coming as an update yet.

The new feature will allow users to see all the new releases from artists that you enjoy listening to in one place in the app. If you want to get new releases right now in the app, you don’t have that many options, it’s either the Discover Weekly or Release Radar playlists, and the songs in those two playlists are not listed according to your listening habits.

So will we see this new feature rolling out to all users soon? All we can do is wait and see.
