AKG Y400 headphones are a colorful addition to Y Series

AKG has announced two pairs of wireless over-the-ear headphones to its well-known Y Series. First are the Y600NC as a more premium model in the series which you can read more about here, while the second one are the colorful AKG Y400 which we will focus on right now. 

Talking about the design, AKG Y400 are a bit less bulky with smaller ear cups than the Y600NC model, and therefore even more lightweight and comfortable to wear on a day-to-day basis if you don’t actually require ANC at work or during your daily commute. Even though they are not completely foldable, the ear cups can be rotated so that they fit in a bag or backpack easier with a smaller chance of getting damaged or even broken. They are available in five different colors: Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow, which you can match up with your outfits and set the mood for the day. 

When it comes to performance, Y400 still provides the signature AKG sound with deep bass and rich mid-range, allowing you to enjoy your favorite tunes exactly how the artist intended it even if you don’t want to pay for an expensive, premium model. Using Bluetooth 5.0, you can connect to any device from a smartphone to a laptop for up to 20 hours of playback time. Furthermore, thanks to the Ambient Mode and TalkThru, you are able to control the surrounding sounds you are able to hear at all times even without ANC as the headphones still offer passive noise canceling. 

AKG Y400 are already available for sale on Samsung’s website in all five colors, with a set price of around $120.
