Galaxy Watch3 has smaller body, yet a bigger display

Samsung held today its annual Galaxy Unpacked event in which it presented many new and expected devices, including Galaxy smartphones, tablets, wearables and headphones with a focus on meaningful innovations. One of the devices that was released is Galaxy Watch3, so here is everything you need to know about Samsung’s latest wearable.

Galaxy Watch3 Features & Specs

As it is always the case with successors, new models bring new features to any wearable. Galaxy Watch3 is not any different, with the addition of the new Samsung Health Monitor app that will be launching soon, which will allow users to track the metrics of their blood pressure and ECG, among others. You will also be able to rely on the Blood Oxygen feature, as well as a new feature that will detect if you fall and send a notification to the contact you choose. Other than this, Watch3 offers running analysis, GPS, VO2 max reading (basically your oxygen intake), improves sleep insight, and a library that consists of over 120 video workouts that you can watch at any time and can even be cast to your Samsung Smart TV if you are exercising from home.

Other features that you will be able to use on Galaxy Watch3 include automatic reply options, simple hand gestures for phone call control, and with the LTE model, you will also be able to stream your favorite playlist on the go if you connect them to your favorite pair of truly wireless headphones or the new Galaxy Buds Live which were announced today as well. Talking about the internals, Watch3 offers 8GB of internal storage, combined with 1GB RAM. The battery depends on the model you choose, so the 45mm one will have a 340mAh battery, while the 41mm model will have 247mAh. Nevertheless, both will be compatible with WPC-based wireless charging. Finally, it offers IP68 water resistance so you won’t have to worry too much about it during your next workout.

Galaxy Watch3 Design

When it comes to design, Galaxy Watch3 offers a fashionable, yet timeless design. It is going to be available in two materials: stainless steel and titanium, while the strap is going to be available in high-quality leather for the first time ever for the company. Some features were taken from the predecessors including the rotating bezel which allows you to quickly control the interface and switch between the apps, widgets, and even notifications. But, while the housing of the new smartwatch is smaller than before, the display itself is bigger meaning you will be able to see everything much easier on your wrist. When it comes to the interface, you can choose between over 80,000 watch faces and many different apps and information so that the device is customized to your own personal needs.

Galaxy Watch3 Release Date & Price

Galaxy Watch3 is going to be available starting tomorrow, the 6th of August 2020, in two varieties: 41mm in either Mystic Bronze or Mystic Silver color option, while the 45mm LTE models will be available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Black color options. You will be able to immediately choose between Bluetooth or LTE models starting at $399.9, but the Titanium model with a metal strap will be available some time later this year.
