Microsoft Adds Two Models Of The Surface Pro 6, And Surface Laptop 2

Microsoft is adding two new models to its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop line-up. The Surface Pro 6, and the Surface Laptop 2. The two new laptops are part of Microsoft’s Surface for Business program which means that they are targeted towards commercial and education customers.

The two new laptops have an Intel Core i5 processor with 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. They will be the first Microsoft laptops with the configuration of 16GB of RAM and a Core i5 processor which will be perfect for commercial users and students who need the RAM way more than the huge processing capacity.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 will both be available in the US and the Canadian markets later this month according to a blog post by Microsoft. The company also said that they “will evaluate opportunities to expand this configuration more broadly in the future.”

“We have heard requests to enable broader market support so multinational corporations can purchase Surface on a more global basis to outfit workers across subsidiaries and regional offices,” said David Alexander, a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft. Based on that, the tech giant is authorizing commercial partners to sell select configurations of Surface Pro 6 for Business and Surface Laptop 2 for Business in 11 additional European markets: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, and Slovakia. All the selected configuration for Europe will have an International English keyboard (Surface Pro Type Cover sold separately) and include local languages in the operating system image.

Both new Surface laptops will be available in Europe by the 1st of May 2019.
