Galaxy Note 10 Release Date, Specs & Design Rumors

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is coming very soon and, as it is often the case with such big companies, rumors are flying left and right. Everyone is excited to see the latest flagship but Samsung hasn’t offered us a lot in return except the video with the release date and what seems to be the new S Pen and the camera. Here, we bring you everything we know so far about the upcoming smartphone, as well as potential features you might be looking forward to seeing from the Note 10.

For the very first time, you can expect to see a Pro version of the new Samsung’s flagship: Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. OnLeaks, PriceBabaand 91Mobiles have revealed renders of both devices based on reference designs and blueprints which reveal quite a lot about them. Keep in mind that, despite the reliability of the sources, some details still might change before the official release.

Galaxy Note 10 Specs And Design

Based on the photo renders, the new Note 10 is going to have a USB-C port at the bottom together with the mic and a speaker. The Super AMOLED screen measures to be 6.3 inches which is a bit smaller than the previous generation of Notes. The device itself is going to be 162.6×77.4×7.9mm with the screen surrounded by a very thin metal frame. It also seems like the top earpiece is missing which might mean that the phone will have a vibrating display that mimics a speaker, similar to the Huawei P30 Pro.

It was expected that Note 10 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 but as the processor maker started hinting at the arrival of the new Snapdragon 855 Plus which would be a better option than the prior one, there were rumours that the upcoming flagship will have the upgraded version. But, WinFuture reports that this most probably won’t be the case as the devices sold internationally will feature the Exynos chip, and the ones sold in the US will hold on to Snapdragon 855. The same goes for the 10+ model as well. Moreover, we can expect to see up to 12GB RAM. When it comes to the operating system, One UI version of Android Pie is most likely to appear.

Galaxy Note 10 Pro Specs And Design

The renders also revealed the second model, Note 10 Pro. So far, It appears to be missing a headphone jack as well as a Bixby button for Samsung’ voice assistant. The phone has physical buttons even though it was rumored elsewhere that the company is dropping them on the new model. Like the standard model, Pro will feature a USB-C port and a speaker, as well as the probable vibrating display. The bezel is barely present which makes the device seem even bigger than the standard model with the 6.75-inch Super AMOLED display.

The specs seem to be quite similar to the standard version, with the rumors of Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 SoC, and 12GB of RAM. It is expected to support HDR10+ and, unlike the standard model, it will have a microSD card slot. Unfortunately, nothing more is known about it at the moment.

Galaxy Note 10 Camera

Despite not revealing a lot, Samsung’s teaser did show the camera of the new Note 10. It seems that the company decided to use the punch-hole camera design which can currently be seen on the phones from the Galaxy S10 series. The camera is most probably going to be located in the center, rather than on the right side as it is the case with S10. This is also supported by previously mentioned photo renders that show it as the front-facing camera.

Based on those renders, we can see that the rear camera won’t be centered at the back, but rather on the right side of the device. The vertical camera setup of the Note 10 includes three camera options which will most probably have the same options as the S10+: ultra-wide angle lens, telephoto zoom, and all-purpose fixed prime lens. Note 10 Pro has a seemingly the same camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel telephoto zoom lens, and 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. Unlike the standard model, it is expected to feature a Time-of-Flight sensor for better portrait mode but also 3D imaging which might be one of the premium features of this smartphone model.

It is worth noting that there was a patent revealed that shows that Samsung plans on putting a camera with an optical zoom in the S Pen, located at the top of the stylus. Unfortunately, there is a big chance that this patent is not intended for the upcoming generation of Note smartphones, but rather another model in the future.

Galaxy Note 10 Color Options

When it comes to color options of Galaxy Note 10, there is barely any details revealed but Samsung might have put additional details into the teaser video that do not seem to be apparent at the first look. As the S Pen moves, the shadow starts changing colors which insinuate that the phone might come in the limited edition “Magic Silver” shimmer version that can already be seen on Galaxy S10+. It is worth noting that there is a change the colors from the shadow all might be individual color finished, but due to the number of them, this option seems a bit less likely. The photo renders of standard and Pro model show them it in black and white color options which seem like a pretty certain way for Samsung to go.

Galaxy Note 10 Charger

Among the many details revealed about the upcoming flagship, we also find out more about the battery you can expect to see at the event later in August. Ice Universe posted that Note 10 and Note 10 Pro (that is, Note 10+) are both going to have a 25W charger in the box which is a significant improvement from the previous setup. The new Note line-up is supposedly going to support charging up to 45W overall, but the 25W charger is still going to deliver better results than the Quick Charge 2.0 used in earlier generations. All this points out that it is most likely that the devices will feature a USB-C charging port.

Galaxy Note 10 Release Date

Samsung has officially revealed the date and place of the event at which the new Note 10 is going to be presented: 7th August 2019 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event will be live streamed on the company’s website where you can watch the full reveal of the new generation of the Galaxy Note smartphone.

Galaxy Note 10 Price [UPDATED]

The official price is going to be revealed at Samsung’s event on 7th of August. Current Note 9 is $1000 minimum, with a higher price for models with bigger storage and RAM. This means that the upcoming Note 10 is going to be at least that much, especially the Pro version. The leaks by WinFuture also support this idea, rumoring that the Note 10 and Note 10 Pro will have a starting price of €999 and €1,149 respectively (approximately $1,126 and $1,249). Both models will come with a base of 256 GB storage.

This might change based on taxes for each country and the market itself, but it is a figure you can keep in mind if planning on purchasing either model. Individual deals or bundles from service providers will also affect the price, but for now, this is what the price is going to be.
