Sonos-Ikea Symfonisk Speakers Are Here
Last year, Ikea and Sonos promised us a new collection of speakers that will blend in with your furniture. Last month we have seen a teaser from Ikea and a release date which Ikea said it will the 9th of April in Milan, Italy. But the two companies released two new speakers as part of the Ikea Symfonisk range a day before the official release date. Ikea released two new speakers in the collaborative Symfonisk range.
The first speaker is the Symfonisk Wi-Fi Bookshelf Speaker, which Ikea showed photos of it in its press release announcing it has won the Red Dot Design award. The second speaker is the Ikea Symfonisk lamp-speaker.
Besides the unique Ikea design, the Symfonisk Wi-Fi Bookshelf Speaker appears to have some control buttons to play-pause and control the volume as well as a small LED light indicator. While the housing of the speaker seems to be plastic, there is a material cover covering the speaker grill with a small tag in front showing both Ikea and Sonos branding.
As both speakers are Sonos speakers, you can enjoy a full Sonos experience using the Sonos app.
The Sonos Ikea Symfonisk Wi-Fi speakers are both expected to be available in August, and both will be available in two colors. The Ikea Symfonisk table lamp speaker will be for €179, while the Symfonisk Wi-Fi Bookshelf Speaker will be for €99.95.
