Listen To Spotify Remotely With Friends
Spotify is rolling a new feature that will allow premium users to listen to music and podcasts with their friends and family at the same time, even if they are not in the same location. With Spotify Group Session feature, any paying user can generate a sharable link with a maximum of five other premium users so they can stream music or podcasts together.
Any person in the group session is able to play, pause, add tracks to the queue from their own library, this might create some fun conflicts between friends. Unfortunately, there is no chat feature, so members of the group session will have to rely on a third-party app to communicate or discuss the podcast or tracks they are listening to.

To start a group session, you can go to the Connect menu in the bottom left-hand corner of your play screen and scroll down to “Start a group session.” then you will receive a sharable link that you can send to your friends through a messaging app of your choice. While Spotify Group Session is still in beta, the streaming service says it plans to “evolve” it over time.
Spotify Group Session first appeared in May as a feature that allows users to share control over the playback while they are together. The host could share a Spotify code that other members can scan and join the session.
Spotify keeps updating and adding new features to its premium service, in order to motivate new users to join the platform and keep up with the competition with other streaming services out there.
