Spotify is rolling out a new friend’s favorite playlist

Spotify is improving itself really fast, the company is introducing new features almost every month. Last month they updated the free tier of the streaming app, and before that, they were testing a new voice assistant, and probably they will launch their own hardware later this year. And now the company is testing a new feature, where it brings you your friend’s music for you to listen to, of course, you could always do that by going to their profiles and follow their public playlists, but now it’s different a bit. A couple of months ago, some users noticed a new playlist called Friends Weekly. And now the Swedish company is rolling this feature out for more and more users, but we can’t say that it is official yet, Spotify is still testing it out.

A couple of days ago, another user shared a screenshot for a new playlist on Reddit which is Friends’ Discover Weekly, now it’s much easier to follow your friends Discover playlists, from your Browse menu, but again Spotify is still testing and the Friends’ Discover playlist is available only for a few users.

Spotify is trying to improve the users’ experience, by making Spotify a more social experience, where you can share what are you listening to with others without making any effort, at the same time, if you don’t like to share anything you can always make your playlists private, and listen to Spotify on a private session, so the new feature won’t be a problem for people who want to keep their privacy.
